Rare Full Moon (Christmas Day 2015)

On Christmas Day 2015, when people gazed up at the Christmas moon, they took note of NASA's spacecraft currently orbiting Earth's moon. This incredible event won’t happen again until 2034. NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) mission has been investigating the lunar surface since 2009.
